Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy

The following terms apply to all appointments booked with RMC Gas and Plumbing (“the Company”):

1. Cancellations

1.1. Where an appointment is cancelled by the customer within forty-eight (48) hours of the scheduled appointment time, the full appointment charge shall remain payable.
1.2. No charges will be applied where an appointment is cancelled with more than forty-eight (48) hours’ notice.

2. Missed Appointments and No Access

2.1. Upon arrival at the customer’s property, if access cannot be gained, the attending engineer will make reasonable attempts to contact the customer by telephone and/or message.
2.2. A period of fifteen (15) minutes’ grace will be allowed to enable the customer to provide access.
2.3. If, after the expiry of the grace period, access remains unavailable, the appointment shall be deemed a missed appointment.
2.4. In such circumstances, the customer shall be liable for a cancellation fee equivalent to the Company’s first hourly charge of £80.

3. General

3.1. By booking an appointment with RMC Gas and Plumbing, the customer acknowledges and accepts the terms of this Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy.
3.2. The Company reserves the right to amend this policy at its discretion, with updated terms made available on the Company’s website.
